Services at Let's Play SA! Therapeutic Services are implemented by a registered social worker.

Our social work services are tailored to empower individuals and communities towards sustainable well-being and growth. Through a holistic approach grounded in compassion and collaboration, we offer a range of specialised services designed to meet diverse needs and goals.

Capacity Building

Capacity building lies at the heart of our practice, where we work alongside individuals and groups to identify and enhance their strengths, skills, and resources. Through personalised support and guidance, we empower clients to build on their strengths and develop the resilience and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges. Capacity Building involves coming alongside clients as they discover and equip themselves with knowledge, skills and coping strategies that need to navigate everyday life. This could include psychoeducation, training in stress management, resilience building. By tapping into the clients strengths Nicold supports her clients to find the tools and resources to take control, be empowered and therefore reduce the impact of their difficulties. Capacity Building works to minimise barriers by promoting self-advoacy.

Scaffolding Supports

Scaffolding can support individuals in reaching their full potential by providing structured assistance and encouragement along their journey. We are trained to tailor interventions to address specific needs and goals, ensuring that each client feel supported and empowered every step of the way.  Scaffolding includes providing tailored assistance and resources to individuals. It could be connection with appropriate services, provision of emotional support through therapy, enhancing coping strategies, exploring assistive devices, accommodations and adaptations to facilitate access to education, employment and community activities. This could also be peer mentoring and advocacy to empower and navigate systemic barriers.

Vision and Planning

Vision and planning are integral components of social work services, it involves collaboration with clients to envision their desired futures and develop strategic plans to achieve their goals. By fostering a sense of purpose and direction, we empower clients to take meaningful steps towards creating the lives they envision. Having a clear vision and a well-defined plan can provide individuals with a sense of purpose, direction, and hope. Through collaborative goal-setting and visioning exercises, individuals can articulate their aspirations, identify areas for growth, and develop actionable steps to work towards their goals. This process empowers individuals to take ownership of their recovery journey, identify any supports, accommodations and resources needed to make their vision a reality and fostering a sense of agency and motivation to pursue positive change.

Resourcing Networks

We are trained to connect individuals with community resources, support services, and networks of care. We work diligently to identify and mobilise available resources that align with clients' needs and preferences, fostering a sense of belonging and support within their communities. By tapping into these networks, individuals can access appropriate resources that address their unique needs and preferences. Networks also provide opportunities for individuals to build social connections, reduce isolations and access information. Connecting with resources helps to reduce barriers, promote independence and enhance quality of life.

Biopsychosocial Assessments

Forming the foundation of our practice, biopsychosocial assessments allow us to gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' unique strengths, challenges, and circumstances. Through thorough assessment, we develop personalised interventions and strategies that address the holistic needs of each individual. These assessments consider various aspects such as medical history, psychological symptoms, social support systems, and environmental stressors to formulate a holistic picture of the individual's needs and strengths. By identifying the interplay between the domains we can guide the development of holistic, person centred therapy supports. We can assess functional abilities, support needs, and any environmental barriers, looking at physical health, cognitive functioning, social supports and environmental accessibility to identify areas of strengths and areas that may require more accommodations. These assessments provide important information for a multidisciplinary approach to support integrated and targeted interventions.

Psychoeducation and Training

Psychoeducation and Training are essential components of our social work services, where we provide clients with valuable knowledge, skills, and tools to better understand and manage their situations. Through individual and family sessions, we empower clients to make informed decisions and take proactive steps towards their well-being. Through psychoeducational sessions, individuals and families can gain a deeper understanding of presenting symptoms, triggers and available supports, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. Additionally psychoeducation seeks to reduce stigma and raise awareness through a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals feels comfortable seeking help and support.

At Let's Play SA! Therapeutic Services, our commitment is to provide compassionate and effective social work services that empower individuals and communities to thrive. Whether you're seeking support for personal growth, navigating life transitions, or building community connections, our team is here to support you on your journey towards a brighter future.
